# Overview

Typed send API for private chats (`/v2/sendMessage/`).\
`type`: text | media | location | contact | poll | event.\
`phonenumber` accepts digits or full `@lid`.\
For group sends, see **Group Chat → Send Message Examples**.

**Required / optional (private send** **`/v2/sendMessage/`\*\*\*\*):**

* **Always:** a recipient — `phonenumber` (digits or full `…@lid`).

* **Typed:** set `type` to text|media|location|contact|poll|event, then:

  * text → **required** `text`

  * media → **required** `url` (caption via `text` or `options.caption`)

  * location → **required** `latitude`, `longitude` (`description` optional)

  * contact → **required** `contactId`

  * poll → **required** `pollName`, `pollOptions` (≥2); `allowMultipleAnswers` optional

  * event → **required** `name`, `startTime`; `eventOptions` optional

* **Optional for all:** `delay` (schedule, format `MM-DD-YYYY HH:mm`), `options` (type-specific whitelist).
